THE BEE GEES - IDEA 1968
Filmed in Belgium and broadcast on German TV in December 1968 to promote their new LP of the same name. In 1968 the Bee Gees were a five-man band and part of the swinging 60s pop & rock scene. Idea also features Brian Auger and The Trinity, Julie Driscoll and Lil Lindfors. The TV art direction—which pays homage to the Beatles' Yellow Submarine film and the designs of Peter Max—was by Guy Peellaert, the Belgian artist best-known for his cover for David Bowie's Diamond Dogs and the book, Rock Dreams.

Songs include: The Bee Gees: "Massachusetts," "Idea," "I Started a Joke," "Such a Shame," "When the Swallows Fly," "Indian Gin and Whisky Dry," "I've Gotta Get a Message to You," "Swan Song," "I Have Decided to Join the Airforce," "Harry Braff." Brian Auger & The Trinity: "Black Cat." Julie Driscoll, Brian Auger & The Trinity: "This Wheel's on Fire," "Break It Up," "Season of the Witch," "Road to Cairo," Shadows of You." Lil Lindfors: "Words."
