KEEP OFF MY GRASS 1972
U.S. film. Filmed in 1971, not released until 1972. Former Monkee, Micky Dolenz appears in this stoner hippie movie written by the same team who wrote episodes of Family Affair, My Three Sons, F-Troop and Gilligan's Island.

When the city's older generation merchants become alarmed about the negative effect that all the hippies have on their businesses, they devise with a unique solution to get rid of the lazy potheads; they purchase an abandoned shantytown, 50 miles away, where the longhairs can live peacefully and "do their own thing." The hippies accept the offer and move to the ramshackle town, naming it "Violets" and try to build their community by starting their own craft-oriented businesses such as candles, leather goods, etc.

Micky Dolenz plays a frizzy-haired weirdo named "You Know," who has trouble getting girls so he spends his time tending to a sad, scraggy little marijuana plant, with dreams of someday owning a big "pot plantation," once weed is legalized. In one scene Micky is seen wearing his old Monkees-era poncho. Eventually, Micky gets laid! Then, it's time for ice cream and LSD! The rock group American Eagle perform "Triple Sunshine Wine" and "The Fruit Doesn’t Fall Far From The Tree." Micky Dolenz, Marcus J. Grapes, Gary Wood, Everett Addington, Louis Quinn, Ed Kearney, Gerald McRaney, Christine Nelson. Note: VHS quality video.
