A TON OF GRASS GOES TO POT (a.k.a. THE BIG SCORE) 1972
U.S. film. 4:3 aspect ratio. Marijuana, smuggling, rock and roll, stoned hippies, Nazis, black bikers, crooked cops, a shootout, and the one-and-only, Doodles Weaver!

A guy knows where a ton of marijuana is stashed in Tijuana, Mexico. He sells the information to four middle-age guys for $8K. They see this as their get-rich-quick opportunity so they hatch a scheme to move the ton of pot across the border in a hot air balloon.

On their way to Mexico they pick up a hitchhiking rock group called the Imperial Boat Band, who perform, "Freakin' on the Freeway" on the truck's flatbed—drums, amps, guitars and all plugged in—on the back of a truck driving down the highway! Ah, movie magic.

Oops! There's been a wrinkle added to their plan, it seems the guy also sold the info to a black biker gang for $5K and they have every intention to make sure THEY get the weed! Hippie alert! The black biker gang comes across a bunch of stoned hippies wandering in the Mexican desert...they're probably high on mushrooms!

Hal Reed, Tom Johnigarn, Oliver Aubrey, Bob Garrett, Richard Garrison, Aaron Koslow, Doodles Weaver. A Ton of Grass Goes to Pot (The Big Score).

Plus this bonus selection...

PETTICOAT JUNCTION 1964
U.S. TV show. "Bobbie Jo and the Beatnik." Hillbilly existentialism! Dennis Hopper plays Alan Landman, a poetry-reading beatnik from New York City who stays a spell at the Shady Rest. During his visit he makes a big impression on Bobbie Jo Bradley. Everyone else thinks he's a phony; after all, his poems don't even rhyme. Bobby Jo starts to question the possible meaningless of her own conventional life.
