ACID - DELIRIO DEI SENSI 1968
Italy. Filmed in New York City. Part pseudo-documentary examining the 1960s counterculture and drug scene, and part straight-up LSD exploitation film, Acid Delirio Dei Sensi ("Acid, Delirium of The Senses") is an obscure Italian cult film that centers on free-living and free-loving stoner hippies who get mixed up with the Mafia.
The film opens with hippies making the scene in Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village, NYC. Filming locations include: head shops and youth culture hangouts in Greenwich Village, Times Square, Midtown, Roosevelt Island, the 59th St. Bridge, and more. Lots of Roger McGuinn-type trippy eyewear!
Look for long and intense LSD freak out scene that includes psychedelic images and filmography, a rock and roll group, wild dancing, taking off clothes, hallucinations, and more.
