SOUL! - March 29, 1972
U.S. TV show. Host: Ellis Haizlip. An episode of Beat Poetry magnificence. Guests: Actors Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis. Composer-saxophonist Lucky Thompson and an eight-piece jazz ensemble. Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis, aided by the music of composer-saxophonist Lucky Thompson, give dramatic readings of the poetry of Robert Garnell "Bob" Kaufman. This a truly an amazing episode.

SOUL! – October 4, 1972
U.S. TV show. Host: Ellis Haizlip. An evening with free-jazz artist Rahsaan Roland Kirk & The Vibration Society. Rahsaan Roland Kirk and the band perform: "Pedal Up," "Satin Doll," "The Old Rugged Cross," "BlackNuss," "The Inflated Tear," and "Red Beans and Rice." Kirk is interviewed and asked about his being blind, or as he calls it, "not seeing too well" and he says people tend to be disrespectful of him.

SOUL! - October 11, 1972
U.S. TV show. Host/announcer: G. Keith Alexander. Guests: Tamla recording artists Nick Ashford and Valerie Simpson. This episode features a nightclub setting and performances by married singing duo Nick Ashford and Valerie Simpson. Songs include: "Keep It Coming," "Ooh Child," "If," "Remember Me," "Silly, Wasn't I," "Drink the Wine," "Is There a God," "Steal Away" and "Reach Out."

SOUL! - November 1, 1972
U.S. TV show. Host: Gerry Bledsoe. Funk & soul collective New Birth, Inc. & the Nite-Liters, and doo-wop group the Moonglows. Conducted by Harvey Fuqua. Songs include: "I Just Want to Get Down with You," "You Don't Have to be Alone (When the Waiting is Over)," "Come Back into My Life," "It's Impossible," "I Can Understand It," "Do the Granny/Grandma's Hands," "Wichita Lineman," "Afro-Strut" and others. The Moonglows: "When I'm With You," "Love Is A River," "Most of All," "Sincerely," and "Ten Commandments of Love."
