The Small Faces were the most authentic and one of the influential British mod groups. After LSD entered the music scene they evolved into one of the most successful psychedelic groups. The group was founded in 1965 by members Steve Marriott, Ronnie Lane, Kenney Jones, and Jimmy Winston (replaced by Ian McLagan). This video collection showcases the Small Faces uniqueness, power and creativity.

THE SMALL FACES DOCUMENTARY
U.K. documentary. The Small Faces were authentic mods who became a band—not a band that purposely decided to appeal to mods. The group weren't afraid to wear loud mod fashions, they taught everyone else how do it. Cool footage of the group recording in the studio. They discuss how LSD changed the music from earlier days when all the mods took speed.

A Small Faces concert is described as, "All you could smell was urine because all the screaming girls had pissed themselves!" Manager Don Arden ripped them off badly; the group only got paid 20 pounds a week plus spending accounts at all the hip boutiques. Interviews include: Ronnie Lane, Ian McLagan, Kenny Jones, Paul Weller, Noel Gallagher, Don Arden, Andrew Loog Oldham, Kay Marriott (Steve Marriott's mum).

COLOUR ME POP 1968
U.K. TV show. The Small Faces are featured performing songs from their Concept LP Ogden's Nut Gone Flake. Songs include: "Song of a Baker," "Happiness Stan," "Rollin' Over," "The Hungry Intruder," "The Journey," "Mad John," "Happydaystoytown." Gobbledespeak narration (as he did on the record) by Stan Unwin.
