These are the first episodes of 1967; the garage rock scene hasn’t been overtaken by psychedelia, yet. Interesting mix of garage, psych, soul, pop and novelty records.

U.S. TV show. Jan-7-67. 4:3 aspect ratio. In the studio, Neil Diamond sings "You Got to Me" and "Solitary Man." Also in studio, The Electric Prunes perform "I Had Too Much to Dream (Last Night)." Dick interviews Tim Conway, Guy Marks and Norman Alden, the stars of the new ABC-TV Western-Comedy series "Rango."

The Rate-a-Record segment features, The Wordd: "You’re Gonna Make Me" and Frankie Laine: " Rango." Telephone Hotline: Interview with Sean Bonniwell of The Music Machine. "Hollywood Hot Line" (telephone) segment: KBLA Santa Monica, CA, DJ Vic Gee recommends Marvin Gaye & Kim Weston's duet "It Takes Two."

In the studio, the kids dance to, Petula Clark: "Colour My World." The Music Machine: "Masculine Intuition." The Royal Guardsmen: "Snoopy Vs. The Red Barron." Paul Revere & the Raiders: "Good Thing." Includes original commercials.
