U.K. film. Excellent quality. 1970s fantasy Glam Rock movie featuring music by: Scott Fitzgerald, Mud, The Glitter Band, The Rubettes, Slik, Bob Kerr's Whoopee Band. Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits plays an Army captain. In the near future pop music is banned from TV in the U.K.

An enterprising young man named Hero (Peter Denyer) and his driver (Freddie Jones) take an old ice cream van (and convert it into a Group Detector Van, a sophisticated piece of mobile equipment that can hone in on the unique sonic signature of any designated pop group) and travel around Britain in search of groups to play at a huge concert.
