JIMI HENDRIX AT THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL 1969
U.K. concert film. Feb-24-69. On February 24th, 1969, the Jimi Hendrix Experience played what turned out to be their last U.K. concert together at London's Royal Albert Hall. The show was recorded and filmed, and while the audio has been preserved, the film has vanished… Or, has it? This disc features all available footage of the concert, edited together along with photomontages and psychedelic imagery to create the most complete video of this special concert.

By this point Hendrix had quit smashing guitars and amps, but for old times sake he smashed, humped and destroyed his guitar before throwing the pieces into the audience. And, he typically didn't perform encores but for this show he came back on stage with the Experience and Traffic's Dave Mason and Chris Wood and percussionist Rocki Dzidzornu to perform an exciting version of "Room Full of Mirrors."

Hendrix threw out his usual set list and instead performed three of his own blues songs: "Hear My Train a Comin’," "Red House" and "Bleeding Heart." The concert set list: "Intro," "Lover Man," "Hear My Train A Comin'," "I Don't Live Today," "Foxy Lady," "Bleeding Heart," "Fire," "Little Wing," "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)," "Room Full Of Mirrors Jam," "Purple Haze," "Wild Thing," "Smashing the Gear."

Plus this bonus selection...
