Double Feature!
NIGHT FRIGHT 1967
U.S. film.
Twisting teenagers at a beach blast and a hideous monster that threatens their groping good times. Some people put down this film mainly because they are judging it as...well...
a film. We know that
you are more sophisticated than that and will see
Night Fright's merits as a 1960s cultural artifact that features teen talk, swinging fashions, cool cars and a garage instrumental soundtrack performed by a real garage band from Houston, Texas called, The Wildcats.
A NASA experiment involving cosmic rays has mutated an alligator into menacing, hairy, upright ogre that is an unstoppable, bulletproof killing machine with a thirst for blood. If you're a teenager and you go to
Satan's Hollow to make out and grope your girlfriend and you end up being shredded apart by a hairy monster, you can't say you weren't warned that
something bad might happen.
Look for: instrumental garage soundtrack in the style of the T-Bones and teen lingo like,
"What a bomb, real crazy, beach blast, the fuzz, and groovy." Plus teen fashions, hairstyles and groovy dancing with butt close ups. John Agar, Carol Gilley, Ralph Baker Jr., Dorothy Davis, Bill Thurman, Roger Ready, Gary McLain, Darlene Drew, Frank Jolly, Bill Holly.
Plus this bonus selection...
