Double Feature!
THE SWINGER 1966
U.S. film. Kelly Olsson (Ann-Margret) is an aspiring writer who has been rejected by almost every publisher in Hollywood. As a last resort she brings writing samples to "Girl Lure," a girly magazine owned by Sir Hubert, a noble but horny Brit.
When rejected by Girl Lure, she gets an idea, "Sex, flesh, and hanky-panky; that's what they want, that's what they'll get. I'll get published!" With dozens of sleazy pulp paperbacks as a reference, Kelly hammers the keys of her typewriter pumping out prose that she titles; "The Swinger: The Saga of a Depraved Girl." When the publishers still dismisses her work, she claims "The Swinger" is
her true life story. This gets their attention.
Intrigued by the biographical possibilities "of a real live nymphet," the publishers spy on Kelly at home to see just how depraved she really is. With the help of her beatnik roommates, she puts on a sensual show for the prying eyes of her prospective publishers. Wearing only a bikini and covered in dripping, brightly colored paint, Kelly is rolled across an oversized canvas and used as a human paintbrush to create psychedelic art. "I say, this looks positively degenerate." Sir Hubert is suitably impressed.
Sex kitten Ann-Margret is at her voluptuous peak as she encourages everyone to "Come on and swing with me!" Fantastic mid-60s Los Angeles photography. Very colorful fashions, cool hairdos, furniture and architecture. Ann-Margret sings, "The Swinger," "I Wanna Be Loved," and "That Old Black Magic." Ann-Margret, Anthony Franciosa, Robert Coote, Yvonne Romain, Horace McMahon, Nydia Westman, Craig Hill, China Lee, Diane Webber, Christine Williams.
