U.S. film. Excellent quality. 16:9 widescreen. The Army shenanigans of legendary B-movie actor, writer, producer and director, Arch Hall Sr.. Robert Mitchum stars as Arch Hall Sr. and Jack Webb as William Bowers.

Archie cons everyone on the Army base into believing that he's a high-ranking officer and part of a secret operation. As a result, they get special treatment and much free time away from the base. When they get out of the service they go to Hollywood, where Arch Hall Sr. becomes a big-time studio executive and William Bowers becomes a scriptwriter.

In real life, Arch Hall Sr. created these fine films, several of which starred his teenaged son, Arch Hall Jr. The Choppers 1961, Wild Guitar 1962, The Sadist 1963, The Nasty Rabbit 1964. Robert Mitchum, Jack Webb, Harvey Lembeck, Martha Hyer, France Nuyen, Don Knotts, Howard McNear, Louis Nye, Nancy Kulp, Richard Arlen, Joe Flynn, Jim Mitchum, Don Drysdale. The Last Time I Saw Archie!
