CRAZY, THE HANK GARLAND STORY
U.S. film. As with most biopics the historical accuracy of Crazy is not 100% correct, but it doesn’t matter because the film provides a fantastic ride. Inspired by the tragic life and groundbreaking music of guitarist Hank Garland; the clothes, cars, furniture and performance scenes ooze with a fabulous 1950s vibe.
The story follows Hank Garland's rise to fame in Nashville, from playing on hits for stars including Elvis Presley, Patsy Cline, the Everly Brothers and Roy Orbison through his short-lived but important solo career as an imaginative jazz artist; moving easily from country, to rockabilly, to jazz. Hank was acknowledged by the likes of Dave Brubeck, Gary Burton and other jazz musicians. The film also explores Hank's stormy marriage and his frequent conflicts with the Nashville Mob—a small group of executives and musicians who controlled the studios, labels and unions and ran roughshod over artist's rights, civil rights, etc.
Also portrayed are Hank's car crash and electroshock treatments that eventually ended his performing career and derailed his life. Waylon Payne, Ali Larter, Lane Garrison, Scott Michael Campbell, John Fleck, Timothy Omundson, David Conrad, Beau Baxter, Brent Briscoe, Mikey Hawley, Steve Vai.

RCA PRESENTS A REVOLUTIONARY NEW TRIUMPH IN TAPE 1957
U.S. industrial film. Very cool industry promo film on RCA’s new audio tape cartridge. This is not traditional reel-to-reel, but an LP sized tape cartridge! It looks like a huge cassette! Technical details are provided on tape speeds and fidelity comparing traditional reel-to-reel versus tape cartridges. A foxy babe demonstrates how easy the new tape cartridges are to use.
