NAKED ANGELS 1969
U.S. film. Great quality. 4:3 aspect ratio. "Mad dogs from hell hunting down their prey with a quarter-ton of hot steel between their legs." After being released from the hospital, a biker seeks revenge on the punks who sent him there. He teams up with his old gang "The Angels" and they head to the desert to get even.

The cast is made up of UCLA film students, but a former member of the Hells Angels advised them on the finer points of biker culture, so the film has a gritty, real feeling. On a dare, a just-returned Vietnam veteran eats a lizard on camera.

Lots of cool 1969 Las Vegas neon lights footage. Naked Angels has sequences where the footage alternates between moving action and still photography, which gives it an "art film" feeling.

Along with the electric fuzz guitar soundtrack (which is more hard rock than Davie Allan & the Arrows), there are many "dream" or "hallucination" sequences giving the film a surrealistic atmosphere. There are a couple of nude "dancing scenes" accompanied by crunching hard rock guitar! The camera mountings on the motorcycles give the viewer a point of view that is unique for a typical biker film.

The film's soundtrack was co-written by Jeff Simmons (The Mothers of Invention) and Randy Sterling. The songs include: "Naked Angels Theme," "Ride Into Vegas," "Vegas Boogie," "Vegas Pickup," "Cop Out," "First Desert Ride," "Rat Grind," "Bar Dream." Michael Greene, Jennifer Gan, Richard Rust, Art Jenoff, Felicia Guy, Steven Ader, Sahn Berti, Corey Fischer.

U.S. TV show. "Dragnet." Friday and Gannon are working the day watch in the Juvenile Division. Their first call is for a 12-year-old who overdosed on drugs. The detectives search for his seller to get him off the street. Later, the pusher is identified as a 9th grader.
