U.S. TV. The Carpenters Very First TV Special aired on December 8, 1976 on ABC TV. The theme of this special was Richard and Karen Carpenter themselves with contributions from their guests John Denver and Victor Borge. There are skits, jokes, and musical performances.

Look for an amazing display of Karen's drumming prowess—if you've never seen her play the drums, you absolutely need to see this. She's healthy-looking and in great form! Marvelous!

The quality is VHS-like. Very watchable and enjoyable.

From Japanese TV. Excellent quality. Videotaped live during the Carpenters 1974 tour of Japan. Features airport arrival footage, being greeting by fans, concert equipment setup, and a performance of their hits including Karen singing, "Sing" in Japanese.
