DE. TV Show. BEAT CLUB was a German music TV show that ran from
September 1965 until December 1972. It was kick-started by the British
Invasion and initially featured many British groups and German groups who where
greatly influenced by the British invasion.
By 1968 the pop-happy sixties had become trippy and abstract and it is
reflected in BEAT CLUB episodes which are more international
in flavor. They feature rare concert & club footage, youth fashions
and happenings, psychedelic imagery, op-art video montages and news
covering the "rock" and "youth culture" world.
