HOT RODS TO HELL 1967
U.S. film. Excellent quality. Widescreen. 20-something punks in a '58 Corvette terrorize a nice family who are on a California road trip. Rock and roll by Mickey Rooney Jr. and his Combo.

Tom (Dana Andrews) sets out for California with his wife, teenage daughter and son. When they reach the desert they are accosted by a pair of drag racers and a "party girl" in a modified, high-performance 1958 Chevrolet Corvette who menacingly force them to swerve to avoid a collision. An escalating series of terrorizing encounters with the punks ensues.

The film features a 1958 Chevrolet Corvette which was modified from an original '58 Vette appearance by the removal of the front bumperettes, the lower front valence, and the grille. Also, a roll bar was added. Curiously, the dubbed soundtrack of the engine is that of a European engine, and in fact, is the same soundtrack of the engine used in the 1967 Elvis movie "Spinout."

Dana Andrews, Jeanne Crain, Mimsy Farmer, Laurie Mock, Paul Bertoya, Gene Kirkwood, Jeffrey Byron, George Ives, Hortense Petra, George Ives, William Mims, Paul Genge, Peter Oliphant, Mickey Rooney Jr.

Plus this bonus selection...

CAR THEFT 1956
U.S. classroom film. Filmed in Buffalo, NY. This film is a real bummer. We're introduced to a nice mother, her cute little pre-school daughter, a fine-looking teenage chick, and three juvenile delinquent boys.

Through a series of events the three hoods steal a '55 red and black Pontiac convertible, pick up the teenage chick, and get chased by the police. The tension mounts, the car is speeding around a corner—hey, where is that cute little girl and her mother? Gulp! You'll find out.
