DR. GOLDFOOT AND THE BIKINI MACHINE 1965
U.S. film. A campy, sci-fi spy spoof that blends '60s rock and roll energy, and go-go mayhem into a colorful, madcap adventure. Vincent Price plays the delightfully evil Dr. Goldfoot, a mad scientist with a nefarious plan to take over the world. His secret weapon? A squad of beautiful, bikini-clad robots programmed to seduce and swindle unsuspecting victims.
But when bumbling secret agent Craig Gamble (Frankie Avalon) and dashing bachelor Todd Armstrong (Dwayne Hickman) catch on to the scheme, a wild chase through San Francisco ensues, complete with zany disguises, over-the-top gadgets, and plenty of slapstick hijinks.
This psychedelic romp is packed with surf-rock sounds, by Sam and the Ape Men, mod fashion, and a tongue-in-cheek nod to the James Bond craze of the era. The film's theme song, performed by The Supremes, adds a Motown groove to the mix, while the go-go dancing and mad scientist antics keep the energy high. Annette Funicello, Deborah Walley, Susan Hart, Jack Mullaney, Fred Clark, Aron Kincaid.
