Double Feature!
THE BEACH GIRLS AND THE MONSTER 1965
(a.k.a. MONSTER FROM THE SURF)
U.S. film. A seaweed covered, pinhead creature messes up tan lines and a surf bum son tells his scientist father, "Dad, there's more to life than test tubes and fish."
An eclectic mix of beach party vibes and classic monster mayhem! The story kicks off with a group of carefree young surfers soaking up the sun, but their fun turns deadly when a mysterious sea creature starts picking them off one by one. The attacks send shockwaves through the beach community, and local scientist Dr. Otto Lindsay sets out to uncover the truth behind the killings. Meanwhile, his rebellious son Richard, more interested in riding waves than following in his father's footsteps, finds himself tangled in the mystery—especially when his friends start disappearing.
With wild surf music, go-go dancing, and a rubber-suited monster lurking in the shadows, this film delivers a ginchy
blend of 1960s beach culture and classic B-movie horror. Is the creature really a mutant terror from the deep, or is there something even more sinister at play?
Scorching Frank Sinatra, Jr. bongo score. Teens, surfing, bikinis, monsters, murder and rock & roll. The girls on the beach are the dancing troupe from the Whisky-A-Go-Go. Jon Hall, Sue Casey, Walker Edmiston. The Beach Girls And The Monster!
