SECOND FIDDLE TO A STEEL GUITAR 1965
U.S. film. Excellent quality. Color. Incredible line-up of country music talent and the one-and-only reunion of Leo Gorcey and Huntz Hall in their Bowery Boys characters.

Country music fan Arnold Stang loves country music. His socialite wife Pamela Hayes hates it. Pamela is putting on a benefit for her upper-class friends, featuring an opera performance. At the last minute the opera company can't make it so she's forced to turn to Arnold to put together a country music jamboree in its place. Leo Gorcey and Huntz Hall play theater stagehands and are featured in many comedic scenes. Incredible country music show that features wall-to-wall, real country music.

Country artists include: Lefty Frizzell, Bill Monroe, Dottie West, George Hamilton IV, Pete Drake and his famous "talking steel guitar", Sonny James, Minnie Pearl, Billy Walker, Connie Smith, Homer and Jethro, Johnny Wright (of Johnnie and Jack fame), Kitty Wells (Mrs. Johnny Wright), fiddler Buddy Spiker, Del Reeves, Faron Young, and Webb Pierce. The MC of the show is Merle Kilgore. Arnold Stang, Pamela Hayes, Leo Gorcey, Huntz Hall

Songs include: "Don't Let Me Cross Over," "Hello Walls," "John Henry," "Born To Lose," "Young Love," "Columbus Stockade Blues," "Honky Tonk Angels," "Ain't That a Shame," "Careless Love," and "Abilene."
