MAD DOG COLL 1961
U.S. film. The life story of 1930s gangster Vincent "Mad Dog" Coll played to creepy perfection by John Davis Chandler. Chandler delivered an equally creepy performance later in '61 appearing in "The Young Savages." Although set in the '30s this film has the look and feel of a 1950s JD film. Amazing cast! Look for sexpot Joy Harmon! Also Jerry Orbach, Vincent Gardenia, Telly Savalas, and Gene Hackman.

It's 1920s New York City and young Vincent Coll is living a shabby life in an unhappy home while being tormented by his savagely sadistic father. Like father, like son because Vincent—all grown up— gets dubbed, "Mad Dog" by the then Mayor of New York, Jimmy Walker for his over-the-top sadistic, ruthless and vicious tactics.

Mad Dog Coll begins his "professional" career as a teenager working for New York's top mobster, Dutch Schultz. Frustrated by not "moving up" fast enough; Coll decides to take out Schultz and crown himself kingpin. The police and rival gangsters equally hated Coll because he was just too darn vicious and deranged for his own good. He rapes women, kills children and is generally a SOB who deserves getting riddled with lead in the spectacular ending that closed out his short career—he died at age 23.

Very cool and jazzy soundtrack adds to the atmosphere. John Davis Chandler, Neil Nephew (also starred in "The Young Savages"), Kay Doubleday, Jerry Orbach, Vincent Gardenia, Telly Savalas, Gene Hackman, Brooke Hayward, Glenn Cannon, T.J. Castronova, Leonardo Cimino, Joe Costa, Joy Harmon.

WHAT ABOUT JUVENILE DELINQUENCY? 1955
U.S. Educational film. It's like a 10 minute '50s JD movie! Teenage Jamie meets his JD gang at the malt shop only to discover that the gang mugged his Dad on the way over. Oh man, that's just wrong. Jamie angrily tears off the gang insignia from his jacket.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR IDEALS 1950
U.S. Educational film. Cool cars, popular girls and parties are the most important things in Steve Moore's teenage life. At least that what we think because Steve paces in his bedroom talking out loud to himself and we can't help but overhear.
