DRIVE-IN 1976
U.S. film. Teenage adventures at a Texas drive-in on a Saturday night! This film has side stories and a movie within a movie. The main story follows the town's hottest babe as she tries to persuade a shy guy. The side stories include two wimpy teen gangs, the Widow Makers and the Gear Grinders. A fight between them is witnessed by outlaw bikers who comment, "Gang violence, it's frightening."

There are the bumbling hillbilly crooks who plan to rob the theater box office. There's a right-wing sheriff who shuts up his nagging mother by giving her marijuana. There's the soon-to-be-married couple having second thoughts, especially after the guy gets a look at the knockout doll who works the concession stand.

There's "Disaster 76," a movie within the movie. It's being shown at the drive-in with lots of action on the screen intercut with the "real" movie. The film is also a satire of disaster movies including "Airport," "Jaws," and "The Towering Inferno." There's also a TV show within the movie as the Widow Makers spend their downtime watching "Ozzie and Harriet" reruns on the TV set in their van.

Soundtrack includes: Jerry Lee Lewis: "Your Cheatin' Heart." Jerry Reed: "Last Train to Clarksville." Merle Haggard: "Today I Started Loving You Again." George Jones & Tammy Wynette: "God's Gonna Get You (For That)." Loretta Lynn & Conway Twitty: "Lead Me On." Freddy Weller: "Salty Dog Blues." Stonewall Jackson: "What a Friend We Have in Jesus." The Statler Brothers: "Whatever Happened to Randolph Scott." Del Reeves: "A Dozen Pairs of Boots." Lisa Lemole, Gary Lee Cavagnaro, Glenn Morshower, Billy Milliken, Lee Newsom, Reagan Kee, Andy Parks.

Plus this bonus selection...

SUMMER OF '63
U.S. educational film. In 1963 not all the kids were innocent and having good, clean fun. No sir! In this short we see teenage boys out drinking and getting drunk. To add a little excitement, they pick up some prostitutes. One of the boys catches syphilis. Yikes!
