A primer course on the evils of marijuana use! These classic "drug scare" films were originally road show movies. The film owners would travel from town to town, rent a theater, and scare the bejesus out of the local townsfolk.

Note: This title comes on two discs.

ALL HOPPED UP – VOLUME 1

MARIHUANA 1936
U.S. film. Wow, this girl is messed up! She's a partier who likes to drink but one night at the bar she meets some people who introduce her to marijuana. Oh no! Next thing she's skinny-dipping and getting pregnant on the beach! Soon her new boyfriend becomes a drug smuggler...not for too long though because he ends up getting shot and killed by the police.

Naturally she runs away, gives up her kid for adoption and becomes a drug peddler who shoots heroin and plans to kidnap own sister's daughter for ransom—all because of one stick of weed! Harley Wood, Hugh McArthur, Pat Carlyle, Paul Ellis, Dorothy Dehn.

SHE SHOULDA SAID NO! 1949
U.S. film. On September 1, 1948, actors Robert Mitchum and Lila Leeds were arrested after being caught smoking marijuana in the early morning hours at Leeds' home. They were charged with the felony of narcotics possession. That arrest and the avalanche of publicity inspired this film that actually stars Lila Leeds.

A young girl meets a drug dealer and begins to think that she needs to smoke marijuana to "fit in." She goes to a "tea party" where she tries marijuana for the first time. Soon she loses all inhibitions and becomes wild and promiscuous.

Next, she is fired from her job and starts selling drugs. Her brother hangs himself when he finds out! Eventually she gets arrested and is forced to tour psychiatric wards and jails so she can see first hand how her life will end up if she continues her drug-using ways. Lila Leeds, Lyle Talbot, Alan Baxter, Michael Whelan, Mary Ellen Popel, Doug Blackley, David Holt.

ALL HOPPED UP – VOLUME 2

REEFER MADNESS 1936
U.S. film. This is it...the film that became the midnight movie sensation of the 1970s. Kids would party all evening, then smoke pot right before entering the theatre at midnight and laugh their heads off at the over-the-top portrayal of the evils of marijuana that include sex, murder, suicide, rape, and degeneration into insanity!

Clean-cut high school kids who play tennis and sip tea are introduced to a pot dealer who invites them up to his den of iniquity! After one joint they're addicts! Their lives descend into madness. Look for the classic "play faster" scene where the demonic stoner demands the piano be played faster and faster until...?

The movie finishes with the warning, "The dread marijuana may be reaching forth next for your son or daughter...or yours, or...YOURS!" Dorothy Short, Kenneth Craig, Lillian Miles, Dave O'Brien, Thelma White, Carleton Young, Warren McCollum.

THE MARIJUANA MENACE 1937
U.S. film. Teenagers smoking pot and dancing wildly to evil jazz. But it gets worse. A cute "good girl" from the local high school falls in with a bad bunch. Yes, it's terrible! She becomes a pothead and goes skinny-dipping and does other deplorable acts.

A reporter goes undercover working at the teen hangout/soda shop and wins the confidence of the teenage dope heads. After seeing first hand what they're involved in he tries to save them from the terror of dope addiction. Luana Walters, Arthur Gardner, Fay McKenzie, Michael Owen, Dorothy Short, Dorothy Vaughan.
