PETE BEST INTERVIEW 1984
U.S. interview. Former Beatle, Pete Best is out and about in Los Angeles. Pete is interviewed on every aspect of his time with the group. John's mad moments being drunk onstage in Hamburg where he would mock Paul. Paul's big number was, "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" …the lights were dimmed, the girls were melting and meanwhile John is purposely pounding a wrong chord and acting like a hunchback behind Paul; taking all the attention away from Paul's star moment.

Pete discusses: Tony Sheridan and his influence on the Beatles, Pete's popularity with the girls, Bert Kaempfert, Stuart Sutcliffe, Decca sessions, Brian Epstein, Recording equipment in those days, his firing from the group, his time with Lee Curtis and the All Stars and The Pete Best Combo. He gives his thoughts on the Beatles music through the sixties and after their breakup.

He didn't tell his children he was in the Beatles until they were 12 years old. Pete plays his drums in a parking lot off of Hollywood Boulevard and records radio promo spots in a hotel room. Rare photos. The interviewer is a knucklehead. All in all a very informative, though somewhat exploitative, interview.

Plus this bonus selection...

BEATLE INTERVIEWS 1960s
Seldom seen interviews with the Beatles and commentary about them during the height of Beatlemania.
