RUMBLE ON THE DOCKS 1956
U.S. film. Excellent quality. 16:9 widescreen. It's a juvenile delinquent tale of waterfront corruption inspired by "On the Waterfront" starring James Darren in his first film role; before Hollywood smoothed out his rough edges. Rock and Roll by Freddie Bell and the Bellboys.

Della, a clean teen kitten and her little brother are roughed up by a JD gang, "the Stompers." They are rescued by Jimmy (James Darren) the leader of rival gang, "the Diggers." Della asks Jimmy to accompany her to the rock and roll dance at the Settlement House. Della and Jimmy are jiving to the rock and roll sounds of Freddie Bell and the Bellboys when the Stompers, seeking revenge for their humiliation at the fists of the Diggers, burst in and start a massive rumble and destroy the joint.

Soon the police sirens blare and the teenagers split the scene to avoid the cops. As they scatter Jimmy runs into Joe Brindo, a racketeer who hustles longshoremen. Brindo has a soft spot for Jimmy invites him back to his apartment and offers to teach him all he knows. In time Jimmy agrees to testify before an investigating committee about the waterfront corruption and is marked for death by his former "pal" Joe Brindo.

Freddie Bell and the Bellboys tear the place up with the rocker, "Get The First Train Out Of Town." Cool scene featuring hipsters doing the jitterbug. Terrific teenage rumble footage. Timothy Carey is awesome as always! James Darren, Laurie Carroll, Robert Blake, Timothy Carey, Michael Granger, Edgar Barrier, David Bond, Barry Froner, Freddie Bell and His Bellboys. Rumble On The Docks.
