ON THE LOOSE 1951
U.S. film. Excellent quality. 4:3 aspect ratio. Seventeen-year-old Jill has a reputation as a "bad girl," but it's her self-absorbed parents that are delinquent! This is a really terrific pre-rock n roll, JD, teen movie with lots of action! The kids sneak out at night, cruise in a convertible, drink bourbon at a gin mill, get drunk and make out.

Very cool Wurlitzer jukebox and Charleston dance contest scene. Mother tells daughter to "go out with all the boys in school so you'll have something to remember." She does and earns a reputation as a "cheap little gutter rat."

The parents are awful and the father even smacks Jill in the face. Ouch! Poor Jill, ignored at home and ostracized by all her friends, tries to commit suicide. Joan Evans, Melvyn Douglas, Lynn Bari, Jack Larson, Don Brodie, Robert Arthur, Hugh O'Brian, Michael Kuhn. On The Loose.

Plus these bonus selections...

THIS CHARMING COUPLE 1950
U.S. Educational short. Ken has a hobby of recording folk artists in their natural environment. Winnie thinks Ken will be famous which might make her life more exciting. They get married. Oops. The film examines why all marriages don’t live "happily ever after."

JEALOUSY 1954
U.S. Educational short. Sally accuses Don of cheating, and orders him out of the house. When Don's colleague calls to say he was only working late, Sally realizes that she projected her unconscious desire for an extramarital affair onto Don.
