CHRISTMAS WITH THE SEX PISTOLS 1977
U.K. film. As unbelievable as it might seem, the Sex Pistols played a Children's Concert on Christmas day 1977. Here are Britain's most notorious punk band putting on silly hats and being kind to 7 and 8 year old children.

The Pistols' last U.K. gig was a benefit for the children of striking Fire Brigade Union members at Ivanhoe's nightclub in Huddersfield on Christmas Day 1977. Firefighters had been on strike, because of low wages, for several weeks and it looked like their children would have no Christmas, so very quietly this benefit concert was put together. At the time the Sex Pistols were the most hated and feared group in Britian and were banned from playing almost every venue. If "the establishment" had found out about the concert they would have shut down the venue prior to the gig.

Children hit the dance floor with Sid Vicious to boogie to the latest pop hits. Johnny Rotten handed out gifts to the children—buttons, posters and even skateboards painted like the "Never Mind the Bollocks" album cover. There were games and even a pogoing contest. There was a big cake with Sex Pistols written on it. Johnny cuts the cake, hands out slices to the children, and soon a cake throwing, food-fight breaks out and the Pistols are covered in cake.

The group takes the stage and play with their frenetic fury. The set list for the gig included: "God Save The Queen," "I Wanna Be Me," "Seventeen," "New York." "EMI," "Belsen Was A Gas," "Bodies," "Holidays In The Sun," "No Feelings," "Problems," "Pretty Vacant," "Anarchy In The UK," "No Fun," and "Liar." Johnny Rotten omitted the swear words because of the children. Note: Only a portion of this set list appears in this video.
