U.S. film. 4:3 aspect ratio. Darryl Hickman, older brother of Duane "Dobie Gillis" Hickman, stars in this juvenile delinquent film about teenagers who hold illegal drag-races, often leading to death and police involvement. A teenager takes to the streets racing hot rods and getting into trouble after being "inspired" by his father's reckless driving habits.

Great hot rod footage! The hip lingo is marvelous! The atmospheric use of light and shadow give the film a cool hard-boiled edge. Darryl Hickman, Noreen Nash, Sue England, James B. Cardwell, William Forrest, Robert Arthur, Janice Ford, Lenita Love, Damian O'Flynn, Terry Moore. The Devil on Wheels.

U.S. TV special. Sep-8-67. Lloyd Bridges winds the California coastline driving the "Silhouette" (the cool bubble-top car that was featured in the film, Beach Ball). He stops, opens the bubble and he's wearing a full suit, hat and Ascot and is completely sweat free. (It must have been 110 degrees in that car.)

Lots of cool footage including the Cobra test at Riverside with Ken Miles, the 007 Bond Aston Martin and Sean Connery, as well as slot car racing, bubble cars, Craig Breedlove at the Salt Flats, classic drag racing, and Big Daddy Ed Roth who hops out of his tiny Surfite, grabs a bikini babe and runs into the surf.
