Dec-21-63. Brian Mathews comperes this fantastic second Mersey Beat edition! Billy J Kramer & The Dakotas: “I'll Keep You Satisfied.” Cilla Black: “Love Of The Loved.” Tommy Quickly: “Kiss Me Now.” Gerry & The Pacemakers: “You'll Never Walk Alone,” “I Like It.” The Searchers: “Sugar and Spice.” The Breakaways: “That Boy Of Mine.” The Beatles: “All My Loving,” “Twist And Shout,” “She Loves You,” “I Want To Hold Your Hand.” The Spin-A-Disc segment panel includes Ursula Higgins, Janice Nicholls (Oil give it foive!), the Cavern Club's Bob Wooler as guest D.J. and Billy Butler (current Radio Merseyside DJ) as mop top Liverpudlian! The show closes with George Martin presenting two gold discs for “She Loves You” and “I Wanna Hold Your Hand.”

May-14-66. Jim Dale is the compere for this edition of Lucky Stars. Liverpool group The Koobas: “You’d Better Make Up Your Mind.” Deano: “Starlight.” The Morgan-James Duo: “Put Your Tears Away.” Tom Jones: “Responsible,” “Once There Was A Time.” (Tom is interviewed.) Kentuckians: “She Still Thinks I Care.” Lorne Lesley: “Somebody.” Ronnie Carroll: “Wait For Me.” The Londonaires: “Dearest Emma” (A song about the popular Emma Peel from The Avengers TV series.) The Rolling Stones: “Lady Jane,” “Paint It Black.” Jim interviews Mick, saying that Ringo told him that the Beatles had half an hour's holiday yesterday. Mick dryly replies that that's not what he heard!

THANK YOUR LUCKY STARS - GOODBYE LUCKY STARS 1966
Jun-25-66. Jim Dale is the compere for the final episode of Lucky Stars and takes a trip down memory lane remembering the highlights of '61, '62 ’63, '64, '65, and ’66. Roy C: “Jumping Pneumonia.” Peter & Gordon: “To Show I Love Her.” (Jim interviews them about their successful tour of the Phillippines.) Pete Murray joins Jim and introduced Helen Shapiro: “Shop Around.” Keith Fordyce then joins everyone. He explains that when he first met Peter Noone he was only a little fella. Two years have passed and he's grown four inches. Herman's Hermits: “This Door Swings Both Ways.” Ivy League: “Willow Tree.” Ray Ellington and Cleo Laine: “We Should Have.” The final presenter, Brian Matthew introduces Gene Pitney: “Nobody Needs Your Love More Than I Do.” The final group to appear on TYLS are The Beatles via promo clips of “Paperback Writer” and “Rain.”

Note: The video quality is a little bit less than our usual standards but they are extremely good episodes and can still be enjoyed very much.
