SPIKE MILLIGAN MEETS JOE BROWN 1961
U.K TV show with a focus on British beat rocker, Joe Brown. Smart-alec interviewer Spike Milligan interviews typical teenagers, Jack Good, Larry Parnes, Joe's Mum and many others tryin' to get to the bottom of the Joe Brown & Rock n Roll phenomenon. Cool vintage performance footage.

MARTY WILDE 2002
U.K. documentary. The history of one of Britain’s first rock n roll stars, Marty Wilde and the Wildcats. Influenced by Lonnie Donegan, Marty started playing skiffle then moved to rock n roll. Cool vintage film footage and photos. Marty’s marriage (against the wishes of manager Larry Parnes) led to the downfall of his teen idol career. Cliff Richard and Billy Fury stepped up to take his place. The Wildcats went on to back Gene Vincent and Eddie Cochran. Interviews include: Marty, Jack Good, Cliff Richard, Justin Hayward, Kim Wilde, Wee Willie Harris, Hal Carter, Big Jim Sullivan and Brian Bennett.

SCREAMING LORD SUTCH 2002

Dave Sutch was discovered at the 2is coffee bar in Soho when he was 17 years old. Screaming Lord Sutch was the first rock n roll show band. Rare and wild footage of Sutch running around the stage swinging an axe and terrifying his audience! He also ran for Parliament several times in the '60s, representing the National Teenage Party! Sutch was involved in a succession of great bands that included Keith Moon, Ritchie Blackmore, Nicky Hopkins, Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck. His producer was Joe Meek. Songs include “Midnight Man,” “Jenny Jenny,” “Jack The Ripper,” “Train Kept A Rollin,” “Dracula’s Daughter.”

JOHN LEYTON 2002
U.K. documentary. John Leyton was a British actor who became a pop star when he sang “Johnny Remember Me” on television. The next day all the record shops were inundated with purchase requests. Robert Stigwood had just arrived to the U.K. from Australia to make it in entertainment management. John became Stigwood’s first client. The Rolling Stones were added to a tour that John headlined. Within three days the Stones were headlining. John went on to appear in major Hollywood films including “The Great Escape,” “Von Ryan’s Express” and many others. He also had his own US TV show, “Jericho.” Interviews: John, Bill Wyman, Charles Blackwell, Marty Wilde, Mike Sarne, Charles Blackwell, Chas Hodges, Clem Cattini and Jackie Lynton.
