AUS TV show. Two one-hour episodes from Sydney's TCN9. Hosted by Brian Henderson. Some great stuff from down under. Based on Dick Clark's American Bandstand, the Australian show was prerecorded before a studio audience, with singers lip-synching their way through numbers performed on elaborate studio sets. Weird, rockin' and cool. Sometimes a little stiff but always fascinating! One episode is a tribute to hillbilly, rockabilly and country music. Performers sing Hank Williams and Gene Vincent songs. Artists include Laurel Lee, Colin Cook, Bill Morton, Col Joye, Peter Brandon, Lana Cantrell, Tony Saint Thomas and many others. A full two-hours!
