HELLO DOWN THERE 1969
U.S. film. Fred Miller (Tony Randall) builds an experimental underwater house but his boss (Jim Backus) thinks he's nuts. To prove the house's viability, Fred, his wife (Janet Leigh) and their kids, agree to live in the house for 30 days. The kids are in a rock n roll group "Harold and the Hang Ups" and are on the verge of signing a record deal with eccentric boy millionaire record producer, Nate Ashbury (Roddy McDowell). The group rehearses in the underwater house and sneaks their tapes to the record label via friendly dolphin! Merv Griffin introduces the group on his TV show. Bad guys try to ruin the underwater project while friendly dolphins fend off shark attacks. Music by Brill Building alumni Jeff Barry. Songs include "Hello Down There," "Hey Little Goldfish," "Glub," "I Can Love You," "Just One More Chance."
