A rock and roll star returns to his hometown to find that rock and roll has been banned by disapproving adults who say "rock and roll is for morons!" This is the film that introduced Little Richard to a mass audience. During a jitterbug dance scene a female dancer is tossed in the air…and not caught! They left her fall in the film. Classic 1950s rock and roll film. Don't Knock The Rock!

U.S. TV show. Hosted by James Darren. An examination of Little Richard's on again, off again relationship with Rock and Roll, God and Religion! Little Richard talks about singing while washing dishes at a Greyhound bus station. Then one day he met Lloyd Price and fell in love with his Cadillac and knew he wanted to be a rock and roll star! When he was 19 he cut his first record. He talks about snorting $1000 worth of cocaine a day! He said he used to fire guys in his band for taking drugs—meanwhile he was mixing cocaine and heroin!
