This is the film that introduced Little Richard to a mass audience. During a jitterbug dance scene a female dancer is tossed in the air…and not caught! They left her fall in the film. Little Richard talks about singing while washing dishes at a Greyhound bus station. Then one day he met Lloyd Price and fell in love with his Cadillac and knew he wanted to be a rock and roll star! When he was 19 he cut his first record. He talks about snorting $1000 worth of cocaine a day! He said he used to fire guys in his band for taking drugs—meanwhile he was mixing cocaine and heroin!
