CARL PERKINS DOCUMENTARY 1993
U.S. documentary. An excellent tribute to Mr. Carl Lee Perkins! Rock n roll founding father Carl Perkins left the Tennessee cotton fields, melded gospel, bluegrass, hillbilly, country, and rock n roll and became one of the most influential figures of popular music. In 1993, he and Paul McCartney, who with the Beatles recorded seven Perkins tunes, reminisced and jammed backstage at Memphis' Liberty Bowl. Carl and Paul jam and share entertaining stories and Carl discuses the inspiration for many of his songs. Carl is the King of Rockabilly!
