UP JUMPED A SWAGMAN 1965
U.K. film. Australian Frank Ifield stars in this musical comedy which includes some pretty wild 1960s-style surrealistic moments. A singing guitar player relocates to London to "make it" in the record business. He approaches Wilkinson Record Company and requests an audition. During his audition he is submitted to a battery of tests to determine if he is a marketable product for the teenage market. A teenager with wires connected to her head lets out a scream at the end of his performance and confirms his salability.

While pursing his singing career his advisers tell him to make it to the very top he must develop a "new sound," something that will sell. He begins to fancy two girls at the same time; one down-to-earth, the other very high-strung. While all this is happening a gang a thieves plan an elaborate heist and Frank ends up being involved! Suzy Kendall is gorgeous as usual.
