LAS VEGAS HILLBILLYS 1965 + THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES 1969

Double Feature!

LAS VEGAS HILLBILLYS 1965
U.S. film. This movie has four great things about it…Mamie Van Doren and Jayne Mansfield! There’s also a ton of great 60s hillbilly and country music! Country bumpkin Ferlin Husky lands in Las Vegas, inherits a dilapidated casino and turns it into a moneymaker with help from Mamie and Jayne! More hillbilly pickin’ and singin’ than you can shake a durn burn crooked stick at! Country artists include: Sonny James, Ray Drusky, Del Reeves, Bill Anderson, Connie Smith, Wilma Burgess, Duke of Paducah, The Jordanaires. Some of the songs include: "White Lightning Express,” "Bright Lights and Country Music,” "Nobody But a Fool," "I Feel Better All Over,” "Money Greases the Wheel,” "Baby, Sweet Sweet Baby,” "What Makes a Man Wonder?," "I'll Keep Holding On To You," and "True Love's A Medicine.” Terrific bouffants and pompadours plus lots o’ cool sequined duds! Wild scene where a local motorcycle gang raids the club while a go-go version of "Dixie" is played! We see guys and dolls doing The Twist, The Watusi and The Mashed Potato! Las Vegas Hillbillys!

Plus this additional selection...

THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES 1969
"Collard Greens An' Fatback." Mar-26-69. U.S. TV show. Granny's brewin' up some awful smellin' grub—awful that is to every one except potential new neighbor Pat Boone who the Clampetts mistake for a singing pauper. Pat sings "Never Goin' Back" which was written by John Stewart from The Kingston Trio and recorded by The Lovin' Spoonful. Classic 1960s TV series!
