TOO SOON TO LOVE (a.k.a. TEENAGE LOVERS) 1960

Double Feature!

TOO SOON TO LOVE (a.k.a. TEENAGE LOVERS) 1960
U.S. film. Man, oh man! Not a good "date movie!" If any guy brought his date to this movie in 1960 and expected to cop a feel, or even get a kiss afterward, he could forget it! Two clean teens (Jim and Cathy) meet and start to like each other. After going to a drive-in, the couple heads to inspiration point and just before they kiss a cop shows up and arrests them. Cathy's dysfunctional-jerk father slaps her face silly after picking her up at the police station. This only drives Cathy to "go all the way" with Jim. Oops! Cathy gets pregnant so the couple visits an old hag, kitchen sink abortionist but run in fear after seeing the results on another "patient." Things go from really bad to even worse when Jim steals $500 (and gets caught!) to pay for a "real" illegal abortion and Cathy tries to commit suicide. So the message of this film is, don't be a jerk-parent and "Hey kids, wear a rubber!" Cool scenes: Neon drive-in movie palace with boogie-woogie music, hot rods and a JD rumble! Los Angeles locations include the Hollywood Bowl and Mulholland Drive. Jack Nicholson plays a JD hood! Jennifer West, Richard Evans, Jack Nicholson, Warren Parker, Ralph Manza, Jacqueline Schwab, Billie Bird, William Keene. Too Soon To Love!

Plus this bonus selection...

THE PHIL SILVERS SHOW (SGT. BILKO) 1957
U.S. TV show. "Rock n Roll Rookie." Mar-5-57. World famous long-haired, side-burned rock n roll star, "Elvin Pelvin" is drafted into the Army and serves under Sergeant Bilko. Bilko smells a payday and comes up with a scheme to record Elvin singing and then sell the recording for big $. This show is like a '60s character-actor summit with Joe E. Ross (Car 54), Harvey Lembeck (Eric Von Zipper), Allan Melvin (voice of Magilla Gorilla and character, Sam the Butcher on Brady Bunch), and many others! Elvin Pelvin is played by Tom Gilson ("Young and Wild" and "This Rebel Breed").
