Fantastic footage of the 1943 "Zoot Suit Riots" in Los Angeles. Awesome 1940s boogie woogie scenes. JD attitudes and slang influence 1950s rock n roll. For example: to "bop" is to fight and a "bopper" is a gang fighter. Excellent archival footage of JDs. Street Gangs!

Cool ducktailed gangs on the streets and in pool halls. The gangs learn to help out in their community (with cigarettes dangling from their mouths!)
