THE RESTLESS ONES 1965
U.S. film. A JD, teenage, beach and religious movie?! Yup!! David and his JD pals vandalize a church and speed away in hot rod while slugging down hard liquor. They get pulled over by the fuzz in front of a record store where all the cool kids come out and watch them get busted! Next stop, jail! David's parents are TV screenwriters and decide to write a TV project about "today's troubles teens." They read about Reverend Billy Graham's effect on teenagers and attend one of his crusades. Next, they go to a swingin' religious hootenanny at Malibu beach that looks like it could be outta any Frankie and Annette movie except for the God stuff. David's girlfriend, April, is a heathen JD floozy who gets knocked up by a truck driver and eventually tries to commit suicide. In the end David and his parents accept God.
