BURN 'EM UP O'CONNOR 1939
U.S. film. A murder mystery at the race track! P.G. Delano builds race cars and he's out to break all speed records – even though all his drivers are dying one after another in terrible crashes. During a race, Delano watches driver Jerry O'Connor, a country bumpkin and speed demon, and offers him a job driving professionally. Jerry enthusiastically accepts the offer.

The other drivers give Jerry the cold shoulder because of his happy-go-lucky attitude in the face of several horrible speed crashes. It seems that Delano's drivers are jinxed! The team appears doomed until Jerry's half-witted friend, Buddy Buttle, discovers that Doc Heath, an old pal of Delano's, has been doping the driver's drinks.

Even though Buddy has stopped Jerry from drinking the deadly solution, Doc has secretly soaked his goggles and helmet. Out on the track Jerry becomes blinded when the solution is absorbed through his pores. When Buddy realizes what has happened, he goes to the side of the track and tries to signal Jerry near the dangerous turn.
