Double Feature!
RIOT ON SUNSET STRIP 1967
U.S. film. LA's civic leaders band together to do something about the invasion of longhairs on Hollywood's Sunset Strip. Fantastic scenes of mid-60s Hollywood clubs and teen scenes that no longer exist. Hippies, pot, sugar cube LSD and psychedelic 60s rock and roll. Terrific fuzz garage punk by the Standells, the Chocolate Watch Band, and the Enemies (with Cory Wells later with 3 Dog Night). Cool mod clothes and wild hair-swingin' trippy dancing! "Do you know what acid does to a young girl's mind?" Far out! Aldo Ray, Mimsy Farmer, Michael Evans, Laurie Mock, Tim Rooney. Riot On Sunset Strip!
Plus this additional selection...
MOTHERS-IN-LAW, THE 1968
"How Not To Manage A Rock Group." Apr-28-68. U.S. TV show. Sky Saxon and the Seeds star as rock n roll group, "The Warts." Songs include "Pushin' Too Hard" and others. Sky looks very stoned. "That's freaky, man!" Three Stooge Joe Besser. Deborah Walley wears a very groovy "peace sign" pattern dress! Must see TV!
