JENNIFER ON MY MIND 1971
U.S. film. A drug addiction film. Marcus's girlfriend, Jennifer, overdoses on heroin in his mod furnished apartment so he stashes her body in an old harpsichord. When he first met Jennifer she was only into pot and Moroccan hash. The good-old days! Marcus's Grandfather, a true capitalist, tells him, "You shouldn't be buying grass, you should be selling it!" Cool acid-rock sequence with a Sgt. Pepper/Cream/ Hendrix sound-a-like soundtrack. Jennifer gets into peyote cookies, "snow" and big "H." Robert De Niro plays a hippie/gypsy cab driver who takes Marcus from Manhattan to Oyster Bay, Long Island where he discovers that Jennifer has become a full blown junkie shooting up in the company of guitar playing minstrels who help administer her fix. Michael Brandon, Tippy Walker, Robert De Niro, Jeff Conaway, Barry Bostwick, Kim Hunter, Lou Gilbert, Steve Vinovich, Renée Taylor, Erich Segal. Jennifer On My Mind!
Bonus Selection: 1960s Drug film, "Drug Abuse – The Chemical Tomb."
