Plus these bonus selections...

MAMA CASS ON HOLLYWOOD PALACE (WITH SAMMY DAVIS JR.)
Mama Cass and Sammy perform the Peter, Paul and Mary song, "I Dig Rock and Roll Music" with the lyrics rewritten to pay homage to black musical artists including: Ike & Tina Turner, James Brown, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, etc.

WEST POLE 1968
KQED-TV Aug-16-68. West Pole was an audiovisual essay on the San Francisco adult rock sound hosted by Ralph J. Gleason. Look for excellent outside street footage around the Fillmore, Avalon and Carousel ballrooms and clubs like the Matrix, etc. Long lines waiting to get into the Carousel to see the Butterfield Blues Band and Fleetwood Mac. Young fans are interviewed on the sidewalk and asked about the scene and their favorite bands. Vintage footage of Van Ness & Market St. There's a scrolling list of a 135 local groups. Lots of hippy action in Golden Gate Park and the Panhandle.

Live in-studio performances by Ace Of Cups: "Music," "Simplicity," "Gospel Song," and Sons Of Champlain: "Freedom." Trippy psychedelic music videos featuring the Steve Miller Band: "Roll With It," "Sittin' In Circles." Jefferson Airplane: "Greasy Heart." Grateful Dead: "New Potato Caboose." Quicksilver Messenger Service: "Dino's Song."
