PATHE NEWS - DAVE CLARK FIVE 1964
U.K. newsreel. After their big success with the "special" newsreel "The Beatles Come To Town," Pathe used the same format with rival group, The Dave Clark Five. Filmed at the Royal, Tottenham, the boys are seen making up and hitting the stage to rock their hits "Glad All Over" and "Bits And Pieces."

U.S. TV show. Jul-15-65. Sal Mineo and Phil Spector host this showcase for the Dave Clark Five. Phil Spector is in fine form explaining DC5's success and introducing footage of the group aboard their private jet where they discuss their lives, career, the Beatles, the Stones (Dave doesn't approve of the Stones!) and more. Songs include "Catch Us If You Can," "Come Home," "Because," "Having a Wild Weekend" and several others. Dave Clark Five at TJs.

HOLD ON - IT'S THE DAVE CLARK FIVE 1967
U.K. TV Special. Aug-31-67. The first film produced by Dave Clark's film production company Big 5 Films. A music, comedy, variety show featuring Richard Chamberlain, Lulu and tons of DC5 songs and cool psychedelic video footage. Scenes of the band in the studio making a record. "Hold On" feels like a hipper, more adult version of "Where The Action Is." Hold On! It's the Dave Clark Five.
