Three Cool 1950s U.K. Teenage Music TV Shows: 1) Oh Boy! 2) Juke Box Jury and 3) Spike Milligan Meets Joe Brown.

OH BOY! 1959
Apr-4-59. U.K. TV show. Compered by Tony Hall. Special Guests: Brenda Lee (she rocks the joint!), Chris Andrews, Dickie Pride (The Sheik of Shake in an unbelievably cool complete performance of "Slippin' and Slidin'"), Dean Webb, Don Lang, Lorie Mann, Mike Preston, Tony Sheridan. Regular weekly performers: Lord Rockingham's XI, Red Price, The Dallas Boys, Neville Taylor & The Cutters, Cherry Wainer, The Vernons Girls. Songs include: "Long Gone", "Charlie Brown," "I Like Love," "Slippin n' Slidin," "Humming The Blues Over You," "Won't You Come Home Bill Bailey."

OH BOY! 1959
May-30-59. U.K. TV show. Final show of the series. Compered by Tony Hall and Jimmy Henney. Special Guests: Billy Fury, Cliff Richard, Dickie Pride, Marty Wilde, "Cuddly" Dudley, Don Lang, Lorie Mann, Mike Preston, Peter Elliott, Bill Forbes. Regular weekly performers: Lord Rockingham's XI, Red Price, The Dallas Boys, Neville Taylor & The Cutters, Cherry Wainer, The Vernons Girls. Songs include: "Turn Me Loose," "Three Cool Cats," "Don't Knock Upon My Door," "When The Saints Go Marching In," "Oh Boy!" (Before coming to America to create the mid-60s TV hit, "Shindig!," producer Jack Good cut his teeth in teenage television programming in the U.K. with Oh Boy!)

JUKE BOX JURY 1960
Dec-3-60. U.K. TV show. Compered by David Jacobs. A celebrity panel "Jury" listens to 45s (playing on a Rock-Ola Tempo II Jukebox) and intellectualizes on their hit or miss potential. In some cases, unbeknownst to the panel, the artist they are commenting on is sitting behind a screen listening to them. (Ouch!) In this edition the panelists are two married couples—singers Nina and Fredrick, and actors David McCallum and Jill Ireland. The theme music is the catchy "Hit and Miss," penned and performed by John Barry and a hit in its own right. Very entertaining TV show!

SPIKE MILLIGAN MEETS JOE BROWN 1961
U.K TV show with a focus on British beat rocker, Joe Brown. Smart-alec interviewer Spike Milligan interviews typical teenagers, Jack Good, Larry Parnes, Joe's Mum and many others tryin' to get to the bottom of the Joe Brown & Rock n Roll phenomenon. Cool vintage performance footage.
