Happening '68 was a rock music TV show that aired on Saturday afternoons. The hosts were Mark Lindsay and Paul Revere. Happening '68 featured guest artists lip-synching their latest hits. One regular feature was a garage band contest with celebrity judges. The show featured music, interviews and topics of interest to teenagers. In 1969 the show changed its name to Happening.

U.S. TV show. Mar-9-68. Excellent quality. Mission Impossible themed show. Special guest: Greg Morris from Mission Impossible. Music: Paul Revere and the Raiders: "Too Much Talk and Not Enough Action."

Amateur rock and roll garage band contest features from St. Petersburg, Fl: The Split Ends and from Cleveland, OH: The U.S. Male. Also cool fashions from the Style Faire. Model Christine Clark wears a Bobby Brooks outfit.

Garage band contest judges are musician Jackie DeShannon, former Dennis the Menace, and star of the current TV show "Maya," Jay North and singer Tommy Roe. Includes original groovy commercials.

U.S. TV show. Sep-7-68. Excellent quality. Music: Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart perform, "Alice Long" and "I Wonder What She's Doing Tonight."

Amateur rock and roll garage band contest features from Lubbock, TX: The Heart Beats (all-female band) and from San Francisco, CA: The Fabulous Malibus.

Garage band contest judges are Peter Deuel (formerly of the TV series "Love on a Rooftop"). James Doohan (from "Star Trek") and Gary Owens ("Laugh-In" announcer). All three are interviewed. They keep calling James "Scotty." Includes original commercials for Armed Forces Radio and Television and includes a Smothers Brothers segment.

Garage band contest judges are Keith Allison, the new teen sensation and star of TV show "Maya," Sajid Khan and Sally Field star of TV show the Flying Nun. Includes original commercials. Big time code on screen. :(

HAPPENING Season 2 Episode 17
U.S. TV show. Mar-29-69. Excellent quality. Paul Revere and the Raiders perform: "Mr. Sun, Mr. Moon" and "Call on Me." Garage band contest finals! From Minneapolis, MN: Zarathustra. From Portland, OR: Paula and the Pip Squeeks. From Salins, CA: The New Miracles.

Garage band contest judges are Chris Montez (talks about his new Spanish language album), Ann Moses (Tiger Beat magazine editor), Jon Provost (actor, formerly from "Lassie"), Casey Kasem (radio personality), and Regis Philbin (TV personality, co-host of Joey Bishop talk show).

Winning band receives $10,000 in prizes including Vox guitars, Singer portable TV, and a 1968 Pontiac Catalina Station Wagon. Includes original commercials (Cover Girl with Susan Dey).
