THE PENTHOUSE 1967
U.K. film. A London penthouse becomes the scene of bizarre sadistic acts. Bruce, a married man, meets his lover, Barbara, for secret liaisons in a swanky London penthouse. One morning the doorbell rings. Barbara answers and is greeted by Tom, who says he's a meter man who needs to read the gas meter. Barbara lets him in and immediately he starts behaving strangely. Next, another man enters the penthouse who Tom introduces as Dick, his assistant. Poor Barbara and Bruce soon realize that these intruders are planning a 24-hour orgy of psychopathic madness.

Almost immediately Tom brandishes a switchblade, Bruce has been tied to a chair, and Barbara has been shoved onto a couch and forced to drink whisky. The two intruders feel like partying and convince Barbara to smoke marijuana and dance a striptease to seductive music. Soon the men rape her one at a time. Through it all, the helpless Bruce is insulted and humiliated at knifepoint.

Then after over a day of physical and mental torment the two manipulating psychopaths let themselves out and slip away. Barbara unties Bruce and a few minutes later the doorbell rings and a bizarre-looking woman who calls herself Harry explains that she is the duo's parole officer and that she has brought them back under guard to apologize. But the film isn't over yet!

The soundtrack features Lisa Shane singing, "World Full of Lonely Men." Suzy Kendall, Terence Morgan, Tony Beckley, Norman Rodway, Martine Beswick. The Penthouse.
