ALL THIS AND WORLD WAR II 1976
U.S. film. It's a Reich 'n' Roll movie featuring dancing Nazis and music by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. What can you say about a film that combines footage from World War II with scenes from Hollywood war films and sets both to a soundtrack of Beatles songs performed by other artists?

Here's what others have said…"Bizarre, strange, ghastly, tasteless, audacious, catastrophic, reckless, ridiculous, absurd, avant-garde, and stupid." But hey, no one has ever called it boring! Actually, it's the ultimate "midnight movie" that is, if you agree that a midnight movie is a film where plot and story line are secondary to flashing sights and sounds that become surreal when you're stoned on Acapulco Gold and Orange Sunshine.

See…marching Nazi's and Hitler rallies set to the tune, "Magical Mystery Tour." Witness…Neville Chamberlain at the precise moment that the lyrics "living is easy with eyes closed" are sung from "Strawberry Fields Forever." Watch…Hitler during "Fool on the Hill" and Mussolini during "Nowhere Man" and many, many more maddening moments.

Here is a sampling of the songs you'll hear: Elton John: "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds." The Bee Gees: "Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight." Keith Moon: "When I'm Sixty-Four." Rod Stewart: "Get Back." Jeff Lynne: "With A Little Help From My Friends/Nowhere Man." The Bee Gees: "She Came In Through The Bathroom Window." The Four Seasons: "We Can Work It Out." Frankie Valli: "A Day In The Life." Brian Ferry: "She's Leaving Home." Status Quo: "Getting Better." Peter Gabriel: "Strawberry Fields Forever." Tina Turner: "Come Together."

Starring Milton Berle, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Adolf Hitler, Bob Hope, Joseph P. Kennedy, Benito Mussolini, Joseph Stalin, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Humphrey Bogart, Richard Burton and many others.

Plus these bonus selections...

JOHN LENNON : MAN OF THE DECADE 1969
U.K. TV special. Dec-30-69. Rare ATV special that examined three influential men of the 1960s; John F. Kennedy, Ho Chi Minh and John Lennon. When esteemed sociologist and anthropologist Dr. Desmond Morris was asked whom he felt was the man of the decade, he chose John Lennon.

Dr. Morris presents the John Lennon segment which included analysis of John Lennon's contribution to the 1960s, Beatles footage (selected by Lennon) and interviews with John as he strolled through the grounds of Tittenhurst Park. Topics discussed by Lennon include youth culture, Vietnam, peace, love, LSD, the establishment, Woodstock, and more.

BEATLES COVER GROUPS 1960s
From U.S. TV. The girls from TV show Petticoat Junction call themselves "The Lady Bugs" and perform "I Saw Her Standing There." From TV show Shivaree "The Mermaids" perform Twist and Shout." From an unknown Chinese movie a group of mop-top Orientals perform a very weird version of "I Saw Her Standing There."

This is the most intriguing idea for a movie I have ever heard of, but oddly enough, it works in its own weird way. World War 2 footage with a Beatles soundtrack...very strange, but also very interesting. (Posted on 3/12/15)
