INDIANAPOLIS SPEEDWAY 1939
U.S. film. Champion race car driver Joe Greer doesn't want his kid brother Eddie to get involved in the racing game; instead he wants him to go to college and make something of himself. But Eddie persuades his brother to let him race by promising to study at night. Meanwhile, hot chick Frankie Merrick puts the moves on Eddie but Joe thinks she's a gold digger only after Eddie's money; so Joe tires to break up their relationship the night before the big race.

Eddie then agrees to drive a competing car in the race. This ticks off Joe so he decides to teach his kid brother a lesson by driving him off the track! During the race, Joe's best friend, Spud Connors, tries to prevent Joe from driving into Eddie but dies tragically when his car crashes and bursts into flames.

Grieving and guilt-ridden, Joe gives Spud's wife all his money, leaves town and sinks into a deep depression, afraid of ever racing again. Meanwhile, Eddie marries Frankie, races his way to the championship and continues to win race after race, and even works on new racing inventions for a national manufacturer.

As Joe slowly pulls himself out of his depression he hitchhikes back to the racetrack to watch his brother compete in the Indianapolis classic. Racing scenes filmed at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Ann Sheridan, Pat O'Brien, John Payne, Gale Page, Frank McHugh, Grace Stafford, John Ridgely, Regis Toomey, William B. Davidson, Edward McWade, Irving Bacon, Tommy Bupp. Indianapolis Speedway.

THE BOTTLE AND THE THROTTLE 1968
U.S. educational film. Classic Sid Davis "Classroom Scare Film." The horrors of drinking and driving are illustrated when teenagers returning from a beach party run over and kill a young mother and child. In between the story, we’re shown what happens to alcohol when it enters the human body; also some nice actual crash scenes.
