In 1986 Norton Records had just released Hasil Adkin's "Out To Hunch" LP so they brought him up to New York City from West Virginia to show him off to NYC's connoisseurs of rockabilly and rock & roll. What these hipsters got was a few evenings of demented rock n roll madness courtesy of the "Haze."

HASIL ADKINS AT FOLK CITY 1986
Mar-26-86. Gerde's Folk City in Greenwich Village was a small venue fostering the early 60s folk music scene. Bob Dylan had famously played there. So, on Folk City's final night of existence who do they book to close the place?—Hasil Adkins! Go figure. Ten minutes after the show there was a guy on a ladder out front taking the sign down! The end of the folk era, the beginning of the Haze era!

HASIL ADKINS' HOUSE PARTY 1986
Mar-28-86. Hasil is partying and playing in a northern New Jersey apartment prior to his Maxwells gig. Lots of beer, dancing and hillbilly howls as the houseguests cheer on the Haze!

HASIL ADKINS AT MAXWELLS 1986
Mar-28-86. Hoboken, NJ is famous for more than Frank Sinatra, Maxwells is a favorite club for hipsters and aficionados of cool. Case in point: a couple of days after his New York City debut at Folk City, Hasil Adkins tore the roof off Maxwells in a rousing and rocking performance.

Hasil performs many of the over 7000 songs in his repertoire. "She Said," "Maybelline," "No More Hot Dogs," "Do The Hot Pants With Me," "Great Balls Of Fire," "Truly Ruley," "Donohoe Boogie," "Ha Ha Cat Walk Baby," "Sally Wally Woody Waddy Weedy Wally," "Chicken Walk," "High School Confidential," "Teenie Weenie Waddy Kiss," "I Need Your Head," "Hunch," "Hot Dog Baby" "Duncan," and dozens more! A full two-hours of the "Haze."
